Yes, Dreams Do Come True…

I have been a Backstreet Boys fan since I was in third year high school. I never liked their song Get Down, but when I heard the song Anywhere for You, there was no turning back. I became a die-hard fan and I didn’t care about what other people might say or think.

Fast forward to twelve years later, I am still a fan. Heck, I even have a business card issued in my name with a title role as Executive Associate/Editorial Manager of the Backstreet Boys Fans Club Philippines. The fan club was never really planned until support from a number of good people from the music industry was given to me and some new-found friends. We were then able to start a group which is now famously called BSBFCP. It became a part-time job that I enjoyed doing. I never get paid for what I do. All was done for my love for the five, now four, sans Kevin Richardson, talented and humble men from Florida. Who would have thought that one day, some few minutes before noon of my parents’ wedding anniversary; I would be able to talk to four of my favorite guys in the world? And, of all places, in Singapore!

I booked a flight to Singapore as soon as I was given the chance to represent our country to interview the Backstreet Boys in their appearance in the F1 racing entertainment show. This is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I just cannot miss this for anything else.

Travel

What a beach!

I am looking forward to travel this year, even if it will not be international. I don’t want to push myself to it when I don’t have enough financial resources for that, as well as my passport is going to expire soon and I don’t have time to process it. Right now, I am looking into traveling down south, maybe Cebu or Bohol again. I love those places and I will definitely be going back there.

It’s Nick’s Birthday

He has now turned 3-0. I never got the chance to kiss and hug him, but I shook his hand after the interview I had with the Backstreet Boys last year. Nahihiya kasi ako. Although we’re close in height, I just felt intimidated. There’s something in him that I cannot put a word. Anyway, I love this guy. I wish him all the best, especially in love,and may God bless him always.

1 Month Na Lang!

Exactly a month from now, the Backstreet Boys will be back on the Araneta Coliseum’s stage once again for a one-night only concert! I am excited. Kahapon lang nag-sink in na pupunta sila and I kinda had tears in my eyes. It’s going to be another dream come true! On Saturday, prep day with the members of BSBFCP. Wish me luck. I’m going to tell them some not really good news…

Finally! After weeks of waiting and waiting… we finally got the formal word from the concert organizers that the Backstreet Boys are indeed coming to Manila. This is It! Pero …

Working on the Side

I’m keeping myself occupied with collating answers from the survey forms received by BSBFCP. The BSB are coming to Manila but right now, we’re still not sure about this because we still haven’t got any formal word from the organizers about this event. Fingers-crossed, everything will fall right into place on February 27. It was something that I’ve been praying for for my friends in the fan club. This is our dream that will come true. And if God will be more generous, He will grace us a chance to have a private meeting with the Boys – or even just with their PR Staff. That would be cool. I really hope things will turn out fine soon. A lot of fans are really expecting this.
